The Isanti County Jail is part of the Sheriff's Office at 2440 S Main Street in Cambridge. The original jail was built in 1984 and held 39 prisoners. An addition was finished in 2005 that brought capacity up to 112. The jail also generates revenue by housing up to 20 out-of-county prisoners at $55 per day.
Male and female prisoners are housed in separate areas. The facility has medium security, maximum security, work release (Huber), and STS units. Staff includes an Assistant Jail Administrator, Jail Administrator, 28 Correction Officers, a Program Coordinator, seven Court Security officers, and two Sergeants. Summit Food Service has handled meals since 2012, preparing over 51,000 inmate meals a year. Programs include GED classes, AA/NA meetings, and religious services.

Visiting at the Isanti County Jail is by appointment only. Contact the Jail Programs Coordinator at 763-691-2456, Monday through Thursday. Inmates must have their initial court appearance before visits can be scheduled.
